Job Description
Salary: $148,850 - 269,075 per year Requirements:
I require a Master's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field with at least 15 years of experience in the industry. Additional experience may be accepted in place of an advanced degree.
An active secret clearance is necessary, and candidates must be eligible for TS/SCI and SAP clearances.
Direct experience with customer interactions and program involvement is essential, along with proficiency in communication and briefing.
This position demands expert-level technical leadership, requiring the appropriate level of experience and education for success.
Experience working with intelligence community technical representatives and US government program management is highly preferred, along with expertise in maritime autonomous systems.
Systems engineering experience with intricate undersea systems is also highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
~ In this role, I will engage in day-to-day activities supporting the Defense Systems Sector and the Chief Technology Officers of the Sea Systems Business Area (SSBA). My specific responsibilities will include devising strategies for SSBA, overseeing research and development activities within a $15M annual R&D portfolio, and collaborating with customers at senior technical and management levels. I will work across the company to leverage Leidos' top technologies for the SSBA portfolio. Additionally, I will take a leading role in developing proposals and other technical responses, which are significant components of my position.

I am looking for a senior maritime subject matter expert to join the Leidos Office of Technology and support our diverse SSBA portfolio, which includes undersea sensors, acoustics, undersea vehicles, autonomous surface platforms, warship design, shipboard systems, and maritime communications systems. While this position will focus on the undersea portfolio, the responsibilities will extend across the entire range of our offerings. The current clients include the US Navy, DARPA, US Marine Corps, the Intelligence Community, and other government organizations. A significant factor of this role involves support for the intelligence community, which will require occasional CI polygraphs.
