It's crazy how little software has changed over the past 20 years. It's gotten a lot more powerful, but users still mostly do the same things - find the right page, find the right button, google how to do something, etc.

We think AI is changing that. We're building an AI-powered personal chaperone for users, embedded into websites and apps. It's a chatbot, but it's a lot better in a few ways:

• It uses AI to personalize responses to every user, leveraging the power of Amplitude data


• It can show users around with a cursor - think tour guide mode

It can perform actions on behalf of users by using APIs and interacting with other agents

What's the role?

• Be the primary product owner of the (currently unnamed) product


• Leverage core AI primitives within the product by interfacing with the rest of the AI team


• Be the main product point-of-contact for go-to-market teams: be the directly responsible individual for the product launch and define the market narrative


• Work with customers to iterate after the initial launch

You might be a fit if:

• You have a founder mindset: you think like an owner, bias toward action, and rally cross-functional teams


• You're incredible with process and operations - you can juggle multiple threads, stakeholders, and move seamlessly between strategy and tactics


• You know how to turn ambiguity into clarity, with an ability to frame problems and find solutions


• You're technical enough to understand high-level system design, prompt engineering, and tradeoffs in an AI product - you don't need to write code or be an engineer, but you can earn the respect of engineers by being in the details


• You're steeped in the various new AI tools and models; when a new one drops, you're learning about it and building a POV on where it could plug into our work


• You take an analytical approach to market analysis and competitive analysis - you think critically about how to differentiate and where to leverage our key strengths

This role is eligible for equity, benefits and other forms of compensation.

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. Colorado range: $190,000 - $286,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in New York City, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in New York City. New York City salary range: $212,000 - $319,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $212,000 - $319,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $190,000 - $286,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $190,000 - $286,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
