Job Description

DESCRIPTION

At Amazon, we are striving to be Earth’s Best Employer and to get there we need exceptionally talented, bright, and creative people. This Principal HRBP role provides HR leadership for the Region Services organization, which is part of our broader Utility Computing org within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Region Services is responsible for two key functions integral to the AWS business: 1/ Execution of AWS’ Global Region Expansion (to include new Regions, Availability Zones, and Local Zones), and 2/ Ownership of Amazon Dedicated Cloud. In this role, you will support builders who are dedicated to bringing cloud services to customers across the globe, from commercial start-ups to national security organizations.

As a Principal HRBP, you will be a key member of the Region Services/ADC HR leadership team, providing direct support to Region Services Directors and their organizations. Your experience in executive coaching, coupled with exemplary communication skills and strategic thinking, will enable you to influence at all levels of the organization.

Your ability to balance competing priorities and facilitate optimal decisions for both employees and the business will be crucial in our rapidly evolving environment.

You'll be part of a collaborative, global HR team that values innovation and customer obsession. This role offers exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence at scale. We're seeking someone who can think big while remaining hands-on, engaging directly with individuals and groups to drive meaningful change.

The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience in translating complex business strategies into effective HR solutions, excellence in stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments. Your strategic mindset, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, will help shape the future of our organization while contributing to Amazon's goal of becoming Earth's Best Employer.

• Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
• Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
• Partner with the business to lead Talent Reviews, which focuses on succession planning, talent development and organizational health priorities.
• Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.

• Partner with the AWS talent acquisition team to build systemic and scalable recruiting programs to create a sustainable pipeline of talent.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally, as appropriate
