Job Specific duties include Room Service tasks such as preparing silver, trays, coffee, presetting trays and carts, checking orders for accuracy, delivering orders to guestrooms, setting up and serving orders according to guest preference and hotel standards, obtaining payment authorization, completing paperwork, picking up soiled trays, cleaning and maintaining service areas, and delivering amenities. Refreshment Pantry duties include inventorying guest room pantries, preparing charge tickets, replenishing items, inspecting contents, cleaning pantry appearance, removing consumed items, completing paperwork, communicating discrepancies, and restocking supplies. Guest Valet duties include retrieving orders, verifying information, completing log entries, sorting and tagging articles for laundry/dry cleaning, organizing and inspecting cleaned orders, returning valet orders to guest rooms, and filing reports. General duties include setup and preparation at shift start, equipment inspection, inventorying supplies, delivering and placing amenities, completing closing duties, promoting teamwork, notifying management of issues, being polite and helpful, executing emergency procedures, complying with safety regulations, attending meetings and training, maintaining cleanliness, complying with hotel policies, recycling, staying current with hotel information, and adhering to uniform and grooming standards. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, one plus years experience in food service or hotel operation, thorough knowledge of food service techniques and standards, exceptional guest service attitude, ability to lift and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds, and ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
