We run VC Lab, the leading venture capital accelerator worldwide, and operate the Decile Hub platform, reducing barriers for next-generation investors to launch and grow meaningful early-stage investment firms.

We are hiring a Head of Finance to manage and optimize the finance function. You will be responsible for day-to-day operational finance, working collaboratively with venture capital fund accounting and finance teams, and laying the foundation for scaling the business. The ideal candidate will have experience within a high-growth fintech startup and an interest or background in the venture capital industry.

Remote candidates will be considered; applicants should be based in the U.S., preferably in the Bay Area.

The Head of Finance Responsibilities Will Include

• Managing financial operations of a rapidly growing startup
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payroll
• Assisting with hiring, benefits, and human resources
• Collaborating closely with the fund accounting and finance team
• Providing financial reports to leadership and the Board
• Managing state and federal compliance and reporting
• Implementing accounting and finance software systems
• Managing the Cap Table

What You Have

• 10+ years of finance experience including accounting, FP&A, and systems
• Experience in a rapidly scaling fintech environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven success working with cross-functional teams
• Background in financial modeling and projections
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and modern finance tools
• Understanding of accounting nuances in startup investing
• Proactive attitude towards opportunities and challenges
• Logical problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Interest and experience in the venture capital industry (nice to have)

$130,000 - $175,000 a year
