An ideal Project Manager for our company oversees the entire lifecycle of security projects, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance. They manage budgets, timelines, resources, vendors, and client relationships, ensuring projects meet quality standards and deadlines. This role often involves technical expertise in security systems and the ability to lead and motivate a team. 

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the typical responsibilities: 

Core Project Management: 

• Planning and Execution:  Develops detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Team Leadership:  Leads and motivates a team of technicians, installers, and other projectpersonnel.
• Budget Management:  Tracks and manages project budgets, ensuring profitability. 
• Client Communication:  Builds and maintains strong client relationships, manages their expectations, and communicates effectively. 
• Quality Control:  Ensures that all work meets the required quality standards and industry best practices. 
• Progress Reporting:  Regularly reports project status, progress, and any challenges encountered. 

Technical Responsibilities: 

• Security System Expertise:  Possesses a strong understanding of various security technologies, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related systems.
• Design and Implementation:  May be involved in designing security systems, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring proper installation and integration. 
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:  Addresses technical issues, performs routine maintenance, and troubleshoots problems as needed. 
• Training and Support:  May provide training to clients on the use and operation of security systems.

Other Responsibilities: 

• Safety Management:  Ensures that all safety protocols are followed on job sites.
• Compliance:  Ensures that projects comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Vendor Management:  Manages relationships with vendors and suppliers. 

Examples of Desired Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of Project Management Experience.
• Prefer experience using products from the following manufacturers: 3xLogic, BRIVO, Bosch, ICRealtime, Digital Watchdog, Hanwha, Hikvision, DSC, Alarm.com, Honeywell
• Ability to read/interpret and/or prepare As Built/Redline drawings
• Ability to read/interpret A&E drawings and RFI construction scopes
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Time management skills and ability to multi-task
• Security & AV project management or installation experience
• OSHA 30 Certified a plus
• Microsoft Project a plus
