The Behavioral Health Technician I (BHT I) is responsible for providing direct, supportive care to clients/patients, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Under the supervision of the Health Homes Project Director and Clinical Supervisor, the BHT I will assist with health monitoring, crisis intervention, and facilitate group activities. The BHT I will help implement treatment plans and encourage clients in achieving their wellness goals. The role works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care to individuals in both residential and outpatient settings. Key responsibilities include service delivery aligned with organizational policies, assisting clients in securing resources, supporting multidisciplinary team treatment plans, conducting client assessments, fostering family engagement, facilitating wraparound meetings, implementing wellness plans, identifying community resources, community outreach, role modeling, health management and self-advocacy, activity planning, and organizational participation. Additional duties include admitting, supervising, monitoring, transferring, and discharging clients in residential and withdrawal management settings, monitoring vital signs and withdrawal symptoms, administering medications, ensuring client safety, assisting with personal care activities, maintaining medication records, collecting lab samples, and fostering positive client behaviors. Knowledge and skills required include case management, community resources, communication, treatment modalities, program evaluation, training skills, and adaptability. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in related fields and certifications for certain programs.
