Job Description

The Behavioral Health EAP Consultant II (Wellbeing Support Consultant—WSC) has the primary responsibility of providing a range of EAP and wellbeing services. These services may include health and wellness training presentations, critical incident stress debriefings, management consultations, reduction in workforce support, mindfulness activities, threat assessment team participation, working with Human Relations, Security, Belonging & Inclusion, and other Employee Relations groups as needed. The onsite Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant II position, although onsite, is currently in hybrid status at the client's organization in New York and New Jersey. Location: Hybrid 2: This role requires associates to be in-office 3-5 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of remote work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. Shift: Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm ET. Responsibilities include responding to initial customer contacts and requests for services; providing telephonic, video, and on-site support for crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution and referral; managing Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests; applying specialized knowledge in substance use, intimate partner violence, grief counseling, workplace problems, and management consultation; providing consultation and crisis management in partnership with managers, Security, Human Resources, and other leadership; adhering to state and federal licensing laws and regulations; staying current on mental health, EAP, regulatory, and legislative developments; promoting EAP and clinical services support; providing training presentations; and collaborating with Director, Account Manager, and Team Lead on contract concerns. Minimum requirements include 5 years of direct mental health counseling and/or substance use experience, a master’s degree, and current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC. Preferred skills include working knowledge of virtual platforms, proficiency in MS PowerPoint and professional written communications, knowledge of Employee Assistance Program environment, CEAP preferred, proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, or similar systems, and obtaining NY and NJ counseling licenses within one year if not already held.
