**Specialty/Competency:** Industry Tax Practice **Industry/Sector:** Asset and Wealth Management **Time Type:** Full time **Travel Requirements:** Up to 20% A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. You'll help our clients with their tax structuring while helping to address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally. The Opportunity As part of the Default team you are expected to lead the way as technology-enabled tax advisors who provide benefits through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. As a Director, you are responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading business development efforts, making impactful decisions and overseeing multiple projects while maintaining executive-level client relations. This role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping client engagements, and mentoring the future leaders. Responsibilities - Define strategic direction for the Default team - Lead initiatives in business development and client relations - Oversee multiple projects maintaining exceptional delivery - Build and maintain executive-level client relationships - Mentor and guide the next generation of leaders - Advocate for digitization and automation in tax advisory - Adhere to professional and technical standards - Foster a collaborative environment where technology thrives What You Must Have - Bachelor's Degree - 6 years of experience - CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity What Sets You Apart - Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation preferred - Proficiency in managing tax compliance for various business entities - Proficiency in fiduciary income tax returns and compliance - Collaboration with tax practitioners and business managers - Skilled in preparing and reviewing thorough tax returns - Written and verbal business communication skills - Proficiency in problem-solving and creative solutions - Leadership in generating new business and proposal writing - Proficiency in automation and digitization in tax services ​We are transforming the way we deliver tax services. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position.
